Crash Course in CSS

If you just want a basic site it can be overwhelming but the first thing to remember is

Everything is a box, if you don't change anything they stack top to bottom and fill the screen sideways, no matter how wide

so you're just stuffing boxes in other boxes, like trying to clean your room by cramming everything into the closet.

The second most important rule is that 90 percent of the time it's not a you problem, it's the committee of clowns who decide the official standards giving things stupid names and illogical behavior. The other 10 percent is you missing a typo or not hitting CTRL+S and F5 often enough. Or putting text over an image, like I did in the header.

Using

So you're on desktop, you can hit F12 to open a sidebar with the web developer stuff.

Also CTRL+U will open the source code in a new tab. you can click on links in there to see the CSS as well.
